yes they should because the community or the people are the once reading the books. they know which books are good or bad for children to read. some probably don't care but most do care about what books should be in the library and what books should not. there is a lot of books with bad language or inappropriate content and there are a lot of kids who don't mind it but it is probably the best not to have any of that in a book. its ok to have some in it

Community member should be able to if they have a good reason and if there enough people to support the ban of it. Some people give bad reasons for a ban such as " I don't like there opinion." and if there is only a couple people that support the ban it wouldn't make since for the majority that doesn't support the ban.
In the books One For The Money, and The Giver, people don't like the opinion of the author and try to ban it, but there isn't enough people to do it because they don't like what the people that want top ban it think about the book.

In this book it has sexual content and inappropriate words. So yes I think that the community should have the right to ban books.

Community members should be able to control books in the library. They can't have inappropriate books like Hunger games (I don't agree but I can see the concern) It has violence and swears occasionally. It should be allowed in middle/high school but may be too much for elementary.v Especially with all the gruesome and sad deaths.

The book Hunger Games has lots of violent ways for people to be killed, a 8 year old probably wouldn't be able to handle that.

Community members should be able to control what books are in the library but under the correct circumstances. They shouldn't take them out for language, because chances are, most students use that language or hear it somewhere else. However, books that are over our age group should be removed. The Hunger Games should NOT be removed because while it has explicit language, it is a book that most age groups can enjoy.

Community members shouldn't be able to control the books in the library. Children should be able to read anything they want at there limit/ there parents limit. The Hunger Games was banned because it was inappropriate, had bad language, and teaches kids it was ok to rebel. When i read the book i did not think about doing the same thing i just simply thought it was a story. Children watch shows and movies that have bad language and inappropriate scenes and sometimes even parents speck bad language. It is no different when reading a book.

The book The Outsiders was banned but when i read it i liked it , I didnt think it should have been banned because it can teach you about life and important decisions, it can also teach you about loss of someone close because a main character of the book died.

Community members should be able to control what books are in the library. If the community thinks that the books went too far, containing content such as offensive language, sexual explicit, etc......the reason is good enough to prevent it from being on shelf's. This further helps conflict with people and the author. The Hunger Games is a valid reason to be banned in some schools because it shows violence and offensive language.

If a community thinks that a book is to mature for the age group, has bad language, too sexual, etc. they should be able to take their book out of the community library.
