Some people give bad reasons for a ban such as " I don't like there opinion." and if there is only a couple people that support the ban it wouldn't make since for the majority that doesn't support the ban.
In the books One For The Money, and The Giver, people don't like the opinion of the author and try to ban it, but there isn't enough people to do it because they don't like what the people that want top ban it think about the book.

The Hunger Games was banned because it was inappropriate, had bad language, and teaches kids it was ok to rebel. When i read the book i did not think about doing the same thing i just simply thought it was a story. Children watch shows and movies that have bad language and inappropriate scenes and sometimes even parents speck bad language. If a community thinks that a book is to mature for the age group, has bad language, too sexual, etc. they should be able to take their book out of the community library. For example, the book The Outsiders got challenged because it has drugs and violence but when I read the book the violence made sense as a part of the story considering what was going on with the main characters and the time.
