The walkers are told that they would be fine with a bottle of water, they also get snacks, and some even get a cold soda of Pepsi, thinking it might help with the hot day of walking. As they get to the bus they try to stay together and try to look normal. They walk in the bus and give their money to the driver. When the patrols came inside they were told not to say anything, if so to say they were heading to San Luis, after the driver was told to drop them off near El porte. The plan was to walk when the sun starts to go down and only walk in the night, than they would be there in 2 days. The decided to start walking north after hours of waiting, after reaching the cactus like tress that's when men started to drop. Many also started to hallucinate thinking of their families, hurting Mendez, ect. With Mendez and Lauro they were up ahead.
