Humanity needs geographers to help us tackle the big issues, from climate breakdown to global conflict, from natural hazards to economic crises. Alastair Bonnett has described Geography as one of humanity’s ‘big ideas’, and through an Earth systems approach you will gain the knowledge and critical understanding necessary to help you better engage with the world around you.

Go to the website and read some of the essays that have been written previously, including several by former TSFA Geography students. Can you think of a topic you might want to write about? Once you have an idea, plan out some initial ideas then talk to your Geography teacher about how to write the essay.
