I found compelling evidence in the NBC article "Pushing too Hard too Young." Studies and surveys showed that many parents are pushing their kids to excel in sports. Many parents were seeking college scholarships and high school praise for their kids. These parents make their kids work beyond what is acceptable. The affects of this pressure are seen when they show less enthusiasm and drive. Kids should be able to push themselves to be great, not the parents. Injuries pose a risk when pushing a child to the physical and emotional limits.
