This is taxing for them. So I am finding that most of my students are turning in work very late. I have started to extend my due dates on assignments because it isn't just one or two students.... it's MANY of my students. Because of this, taking attendance is a time- consuming challenge. So the student isn't present in class that day. I mark them absent. Then I see they completed the assignment I gave that day four or five days - sometimes a week- later. Do I go back and mark that student present?
