Prior to that, she worked for ten years in the airline industry. She held roles as an agent and baggage claims representative. Eventually, she transitioned to a position managing domestic and international claims for United Airline's corporate claims department. In 1990, Charna graduated from Sweet Briar College in Virginia, where she maintained membership in the school’s Judicial Committee and received the Student Service Award for outstanding community service. This was the beginning of her dedication to helping others. She was also the president of Unity Club. This special organization promoted various multi-cultural activities and hosted social events to bring students from all backgrounds together for positive interactions. As a breast cancer survivor, Mrs. Falls is a Komen-Houston Pink Honor Roll Top 100 fundraiser and chair of the organization’s educational committee. She has previously served on the Komen-Houston Medical Advisory Committee where she teamed up with medical professionals to develop outreach for at-risk communities. Aside from her professional life, Charna enjoys fitness and travel. She is also a wife and mother of two adult sons.
