 A mummy is the body of a person or an animal that has been preserved after death.
They believed that when they died they would have a new life.
Egyptians who could afford it perserved  thier bodys for the after life.
Egyptans believed they had to preserved thier bodies to use them in the after life.

It took about 70 days to finish a mummy.
All the organs were removed exept for the heart.
The body was coverd with natron to absorb all the moisture.

All the objects they would need in their new life was put in their graves with them.
The amount of money a person had determind  what kind of grave they ended up in.
the rich were buried in tombs. The poor were buried in the sand.
