         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) Melting land / sea ice<br>         -&gt; Rising sea levels and increased risk of coastal flooding.<br>         -&gt; Ice acts as a mirror and cools the earths temperature. If the ice is melted, the heat stays trapped in the earths surface.<br><br>2) Changing ocean currents<br>        -&gt; Sea ice formation produces dense saltwater that sinks which drives deep ocean currnets. <br>        -&gt; The ocean currents also effect the air currents.  <br><br>3) More severe floods, heatwaves,     droughts and storms<br>        -&gt; Redistribution of rain<br>        -&gt; Damage and destruction of infrastructure and property.<br><br>4) Loss of land<br>       -&gt; Desertification<br><br>5) Changed food production<br>         -&gt; Availability of water and heat are altered.<br><br>6) Changes in illness and disease risks<br>        -&gt; Increase in skin cancers<br>        -&gt; Increase in the spread of insects that cause disease such as malaria.</div>]]></description>
