These pieces were made by needle felting directly onto loose woven fabrics like cotton, or onto sheets of wool felt.I used cotton threads to embroider complementary colours onto the wool.
In some I used a paper printouts as a guide to needlefelt through. The paper eventually disintegrates and I was left with the image. In the portrat image below I chose to keep my drawing and embroider on that.
