This is a very dynamic, productive and beatuful city. You can find La Sierra Gorda along with industrial parks, recreational places and business and educational clusters. You can find people with different backgrounds and nationalities. My aim is to relocate to Querétaro in the searh of a more peaceful place to live in.
Sadly, the city is becoming too big to manage and its problems are incrasing quite rapidly: water provision, segretation, traffic, gated communities, etc.
Understand how Querétaro's problems begin to rise in the first place may be a good place to start.

Hi! My name is Valdemar Hedegaard and I study International Business and Politics.

Copenhagen is a very interesting city for me, and also where I normally live and study. I love it due to the infrastructure surrounding bicycles and pedestrians, which combined with modern and classical architecture, makes it the perfect city for exploring. There also is an interesting use of existing infrastructure for multifunctional purposes, an example thereof is Copenhill, which is a skiing hill on top of a waste-to-energy plant. I also like the nice recreational parks and the vast variety of coffee bars and bakeries.

It faces problems in terms of also providing enough space for cars and very expensive housing, making it very difficult for students and low-income groups to reside in the city, often having to commute rather long to make ends meet.

I believe understanding smart city design could help me explore possible avenues to solve this.

I love Merida because I was born there. It is a very beautiful, and very hot, city. It is a city with a lot of tourism since it has a beautiful beach, called Progreso, very close to it.

I do not consider that Merida has many big issues right now, since it is a secure and calm city, but it has grown a lot recently, with many areas that were empty just a few years ago now full of houses, so it can start facing new issues if there is not proper planning in the areas that are developing a lot, many of which do not have sewers, as they are not directly connected with the city center, which can become a very big problem after some time has passed, as septic tanks do not last forever.

Also, because of the deforestation caused by the construction of new areas of the city, there has been more heat in the city recently.

I think that, by studying the present problems of big cities and what causes them, subjects which we will analyze in this course, it can help to better plan Merida, so it does not start having the problems of big cities, such as traffic and air pollution.

My favorite city is Gothenburg where I live back home. This city matters to me since this is where my family comes from and it is most likely where I will continue to live my life as well. It is also a very beautiful city close to the ocean.

It has a lot of public transport to minimize traffic in the city but still there is a lot of traffic in the city center and into Gothenburg. This affects everyone with a lot of noise.
Another problem is housing and also a need for more green areas.

The city I'd really like to talk about is Cannes, a city in the south of France, not far from where I live. I love this town because there are so many things to do: like going to the beach, going out with friends to clubs, having a drink... The weather in summer is superb too.
The problems that affect this city are the increasing number of tourists in summer, which causes a mass of traffic. Another problem I see is the pollution of the sea caused by the many boats and the unconscious behavior of people who sometimes throw their garbage on the beach.

Barcelona is a beautiful city full of art and history.

One of the main problems I can find is political. As a part of Cataluña, Barcelona does not identify as a part of Spain.

They also have a prominent smoking culture and that affects both the air quality and the health of the population.
