Teaching comes with its challenges, but for me, it represents hope for the future. I have experience as a versatile teacher in bilingual primary education, managing activities through learning centers. I've also taught Portuguese and English in secondary education, focusing on socio-interactionist approaches, Active Methodologies, Backwards Design, and PBL. My work emphasizes literacy through text genres, contextualized grammar, and multicultural, collaborative projects aligned with BNCC. I am committed to positive discipline, fostering self-regulation, and inclusion.

My name is Stefani. I'm 33 years old and an English teacher who is passionate about literature and cinema. I've been working as a teacher for 10 years, with the last few years teaching online.

I am really excited about the course. I hope to learn new skills and concepts that will help me become a better teacher in this ever-changing landscape of education in our country.

I graduated with a degree in pedagogy last year and have recently embarked on a new academic journey, studying Social Science. My passion for learning drives me, and I’m always excited to deepen my knowledge with each new course I take. Learning is an endless journey for me, one I’m happy to be on.

But as discussed in class, it's sometimes necessary to use students' mother tongue to ease them into this alien realm of second language learning. In my practice, I try to strike a balance between using Portuguese and English while, and at the same, raising awareness of the necessity and importance of making ever-increasing attempts at communicating in the target language.
