This poem has reminded me what I have seen as a kid, it reminds me to enjoy life, and appreciate nature not simply accept it as a backdrop the the monotonous motion of life, it is the setting and a world of its own. The poem helps me to remember to be an individual, not just simply conform to society, or rely on others for confirmation of my own ideas.

As I remember seeing this movie when I was younger, I did not completely understand it as I do now, the movie is an inspirational look into the norms of education and a look into the roots of society, as it tells about education becoming more uniform and systematic rather than a learning process which evolves to cater to a more create generation than those who want to become factory workers. As well it tells about our society being a more uniform society which encourages confirmation and reliance on peers, rather than an inward learning and development.

Challenges of Living Transcendentally

Some the challenges of living transcendentally in modern day society is the lack of nature and the wall of technology which must be ignored.
A large amount of people have phones and continue to use them in situations which they are unneeded, as many use their phones to relieve boredom and just when little is happening around them, people have become too attached to their phones and it has caused people lose contact with nature. As well since there are few areas in which people can be alone or just relax in a nature setting without the worry of people. In other words, people are on their phones too much and we need ore parks and wild life, in order to support human's pursuit of transcendental living.

The Hunger Games

The hunger games is a recent example of Transcendental thought as it shows nonconformity within society as it is corrupt and dystopian. Through Katniss Everdeen's constant struggle against the capital she rebels, from this she shows her nonconformity to the unjust system. As well she shows her eagerness of solitude through her constant visitation of the forest and hunting. Katniss seems to be as well a direct attack towards authority s she constantly portrays a defiant personality throughout the trilogy such as the training in which she almost shoots a high ranking officer from the capital. The Hunger games is a simple example of both solitude and rebellion of the social norm within today’s culture.
