1937, December 13. Chinese soldiers stormed in the city after an intense battle of war, continuing the carnage there before them. Countless people suffered and we're put to death. The target was the citizens, over 200,000+ are believed too have been killed ( Citizens and POWS ), 40,000+ Women and children became victims of rape, 30,000-40,000 we're executed including 20,000 more men. This lead to false security of it ever happening to many still today.

The Trinity bomb

On July 16, 1945 on a warm Texas day, New Mexico officials made a nuclear weapon unknown to many at the time. The Manhattan Project concluded of the first ever atomic bomb being detonated out in an empty field in the valley's. In today's time that area is now the Trinity Site. The implosion device nicknamed the "Gadget" made a flash so bright you could see it 160 miles away, the bomb was so powerful it sent a mushroom cloud about 38,000ft in the air. This bomb later birthed one of the nuclear bombs dropped on Japan called "little boy".

Attack on Pearl Harbor

On December 7 1941, 353 enemy Japanese planes flew across the sky towards the state today, Hawaii. Pearl Harbor was a major port for all Navy and Military for the US with battleships and small planes coming in and out daily. On a winter day tragedy hit as over 300 planes dropped bombs on all major ships and the port itself leaving many soldiers wounded and killed, over 2,400 men were killed along disabling many vessels and planes. After this tragedy Theodore Roosevelt declared war on Japan.

"Fat Man"

On August 9 1945, 3 days later a second B-29 was loaded with the bomb nicknamed "Fat Man", Fat Man was the second atomic bomb that was dropped on Nagasaki which killed an estimated 40,000 which marked the end of WWII after the Japanese Emperor surrendered stating "A new and most cruel bomb"

"Little Boy"

August 6 1945, A B-29 was loaded with the world's first atomic bomb nicknamed "Little Boy". Little Boy was dropped on the Japanese city Hiroshima. The bomb destroyed the city and killed an estimated 80,000, 10,000 dying from radiation exposure. Little was a powerful uranium core based weapon that was hotter than sun when detonated, so hot in fact it left distinctive "shadows" burnt to the ground when the citizens we're disintegrated.

On August 27 1939, The He 178 was the first ever plane built with two turbojet engines, later giving birth to the Messerschmitt Me 262 which became the first ever operational fighter later in July 25 1944, designed by the Messerschmitt company only 300 units ever made it onto the battlefield with the first test flight on July 18 1944

The year of 1940 came some amazing inventions that helped the advancements of war, during this time the US Army requested a light 4 wheeled vehicle that could easily be used for scouting or light travel with cargo. 1941 the first willy's Jeep was born. It majorly helped improve the US's war efforts producing 650,000 units during 1941-1945.

Lost planes in the lake

A vast majority of plane accidents happened in Lake Michigan resulting in 200 aircraft being lost in the depths of the Lake. Most of these accidents began when the US Navy used Lake Michigan and Huron as a training site for launching aircraft off or landing on carriers, this happened along the coast of Lake Michigan

Auschwitz

Auschwitz was a German concentration camp that consisted on Jewish or other enslaved members of Jewish origin. Years of Hitler's reign led too many being captured and sent too camps where they would be starved, dried of thirst, poorly treated and beaten beyond imagination which led to hundreds of thousands dying while in these camps. The last moment a Jew would see was in a gas chamber, killed by toxic gas.

Who was Anne Frank?

Anne Frank was a Jewish girl, born in Frankfurt Germany of 1929. Anne's sister Margot was 3 years senior and was unemployed living in poverty. Otto the Father, Edith the mother. Soon after Hitlers rise, Anne's town was invaded forcing the family too hide in an Annex, 2-3 years the family is caught by Nazi soldiers on patrol and sent too concentration camps, years of torture by Auschwitz and Typhus, Anne, Edith, Margot soon die in the year of 1945, Otto was the only member left who survived to tell the tale of the horrors of the Camp

The Annex of 1942

In 1942 when Anne went into hiding Otto set off to hide the family finding the Annex which held more than enough members. The space was small almost the size of an average apartment, Margot and Anne shared a separate room, Edith and Otto also had a separate room. Remaining members of the Annex all shared a space. The doorway was covered by a bookshelf making it less visible to see inside and avoid being spotted. All members had a curfew shutting off all lights and night routines by sundown to avoid detection. During the days in the Annex they had too remain silent when other parties are nearby, although they all couldn't remain silent, Anne had night terrors which made a distraction making the other members fearful they might get caught.

Midway was a huge win for the US Navy, one of the biggest wins they've accomplished
They descripted Chinese code translating to an attack on the Midway islands which included dive bombers and Submarines, the US managed to destroy 4 of their Carriers which gave the Navy the win

The production of Germany's goods at the time we're growing and they wanted to protect the ships setting off from Germany, so seeing Antarctica as a good place to set a Polar Military Base onto Antarctica seemed like a good idea to them giving birth to the Schwabenland Ice breaker
