         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. <strong>Get to know the texts</strong> well.<br>2. Understand the commentary assessment criteria - A &amp; B are worth double of C &amp; D (A - 10 points and B - 10 points and C - 5 points and D - 5 points); this means your <strong>understanding/knowledge and appreciation are more important than structure and language use.</strong> <br>3. For poetry, get to <strong>know how all the poems relate to one another</strong>. <br>4. <strong>Take good notes during class discussions</strong>; they will help you a lot!<br><br></div>]]></description>

Give a<strong> close reading</strong> of the passage.<br>3. <strong>Notice anything new</strong> you haven't noticed before?<br>4. <strong>Select main points</strong> for discussion (this will help with the STRUCTURE of your commentary)<br>**Don't try to write out whole sentences to read aloud - it will waste time and come out sounding artificial and mechanical.</div>]]></description>
