One affordance of blending learning is that students can truly understand a topic through online tools and traditional learning. Getting to learn and then express it in creatively, and collaboratively ways and with choice. Another affordable is creativity. With almost unlimited tech tools and different ways to do things. Blended learning provides teachers and different ways to achieve a learning outcome.

One affordance of blended learning is that students can use multimodal resources to enhance their learning. Students are able to choose their preferred way of learning as the resources break up the style of learning. Along with the concepts being reinforced along the way, the students are able to learn using different mediums that are more personal to their learning style. - Sarah Woodward

One affordance is of blended learning is the opportunity to connect too content from any computer, mobile device, on or offline, from anywhere at anytime. Another affordance is recursive feedback which is timely feedback students can use to check their progress.

Online and blended learning offers students to choose use different forms of media to learn. Students have more autonomy, they can learn at their own pace from anywhere and can learn more according to their needs. Online and blended learning also offers immediate feedback so they can track their own progress, it also allows for more collaboration and communication between students in your class, other classes, and even other schools.

One affordance blended learning offers is that students are able to learn from pretty much anywhere. They can access content from both home and school, online and offline. They can go back and review this content as much or as little as they need which is very useful. They are able to learn at their own pace. Blended learning also offers almost immediate feedback. This is beneficial to both students and teachers. They can see their progress and understand what they need more work with. Teachers can use this information to understand which students need more help and which students need to move on. Blended learning offers students the opportunity to choose the way they want to learn. This allows for choice and encourages engagement.

My thoughts are that today blended learning is a good way for students and teachers to come together and show students the different ways of learning. Visual students can use the internet to see how things are done as well as follow the history of how things came to be. Books are a good reference but to see and get it explained in a way from the teacher.

Blended learning gives students the opportunity to learn in many different ways. Not all students learn the same and blended learning gives them the chance to learn at their level and their own pace. Another pro to blended learning is getting to see your feedback from your work right away so you can see what you need to work on.

Of the 7 affordances listed in the article, I think the most important is differentiated learning. Online and blended resources make it easer for learners to receive immediate feedback and do an activity based specifically on their individual progress. Learning can be more personalized, so that students are actually learning not just doing an activity that doesn't challenge them. Online learning and technology also make it easier for students to use multimodal resources, which can make it easier for students who have a learning disability or a preference of how they learn and show their learning.
