In this blog, the Pop Culture Interest of choice is Food and Cuisine! I will be talking about 10 different Filipino Cuisines and which ones I like the most.

Tinola - 6/10. Tinola is one of those dishes that you may not necessarily rank at the top but will probably be the dish you wouldn't mind having every other day.

Nilagang Baka - 6/10. The perfect rainy-day soup.

Sinigang - 7/10. When cooked right, you can't go wrong with sinigang.

Crispy Pata - 7/10. Crispy pata is a great dish especially when paired with a vinegar dip.

Humba - 7.6/10. Humba is pretty similar to adobo, but on the sweeter side and is always pork. Its sauce will leave you asking for more rice.

Adobo - 8/10. Adobo is probably one of the most nostalgic dishes and a recipe is present in every household in the Philippines. It's vinegar and toyo blend acts as a natural preservative which allows home cooks to leave this dish unrefrigerated for days.

Lechon Paksiw - 9/10. Lechon Paksiw is made with leftover Lechon. It has the right salty-sour blend and makes you want to order more rice.

Sisig - 9.5/10. Sisig is one of those dishes that you just have to order if they have it in the menu. Some serve it authentic using pig mask (Pig's face & ears) and some make it with the belly. I prefer the later.

Lechon Kawali - 9.5/10. Lechon Kawali is best served with Mang Tomas or a vinegar-based dip. It is crispy, meaty, and fatty.

Lechon - 9.8/10. Lechon receives the highest rating because it is not a weekly dish. Kung sa tagalog pa, hindi nakaka umay. The tender meat and crispy skin dipped in Mang Tomas is very nostalgic and delicious. Of course, you can't forget the rice.
