The island of Tenerife is home to one of the best Carnivals in Spain. As every year, the city of Santa Cruz is transformed to receive extravagant parades, dancers in bright costumes and spectacular feather headdresses wearing the heads of the carnival queens queens. With a total duration of three weeks. It is self-evident everywhere with the Mogollones (the callegata with Latin music and salsa), the Cavalcade, the Grand Parade and the Burial of the Sardine. 3.Cádiz Carnival, Andalusia

In this Carnival of Spain humor and ingenuity unseat the floats and colored feathers of other famous Carnivals in Spain. With its chirigotas and comparsas, its pitos and drums, its music and its sun, the Carnival of Cádiz is all humor and ingenuity. The satire of politicians and the mockery of other Spanish celebrities flood the streets of Cádiz to the sound of catchy music, imposing fireworks and spectacular carnival goddesses

4.Carnival of Badajoz, Extremadura

Declared of National Tourist Interest, the Carnival of Badajoz is considered one of the best Carnivals in Spain. The Carnival of Badajoz is lived in the street with its endless processions such as the Great Parade of Comparsas, the histrionic burial of the Sardine in the neighborhood of San Roque and the contest of Popular Costumes.

5. Ruzafa Carnival, Valencia

And how could it be otherwise, the Valencians know well what they do when it comes time for costume, party and carnival teasing. Almost as a warm-up to "Las Fallas", Valencia hosts one of the most famous Carnivals in Spain with the Ruzafa Carnival. Parade, concerts, craft markets and parades with costumes from different parts of the world, not forgetting the satirical air, is what you will find in this Carnival of Spain 

6.Haro Wine Carnival, La Rioja

 This Carnival will transport you to a decadent, lavish and somewhat grotesque era. During this carnival appointment, 14 wineries of Haro will present the new wine vintages. A feast of aromas and flavors as few occur in the region.

7.Solsona Carnival, Catalonia, Barcelona

The Solsona Carnival has become one of the most famous carnivals in Spain for its mocking and exaggerated character. Proof of this is the flagship act that begins the party, the “hung of the donkey” (not with a real animal but with a donkey made of stone cardboard and another stuffed animal that, through a studied mechanism, simulates the last urination of the poor beast). Other acts of this equally grotesquely carnival celebration are, on the one hand, the “Crazy Giants” parade where four mocking giants roam with their movable arms to those present and, on the other, the Figs route, where cake is distributed and white wine for the people

8.Laza Carnival and Carnival of Xinzo de Limia and Verín, Orense, Galicia

The Carnival of Laza, together with that of Xinzo de Limia and that of Verín, in Orense, form a peculiar carnival triumvirate. The main protagonists of the Carnival of Laza are Os Peliqueiros. Your mission is to scare away evil spirits and go with an A Zamarra (a kind of whip) to hit anyone who goes without disguise. Xinzo Carnival is said to be the longest carnival in Spain in Europe. Surely it is true, because there are five weekends of events and celebrations

9.Carnival of Águilas, Murcia

This Carnival in Spain begins on Thursday with the Drops of the Mussona (half man character, half beast) through the streets of Águilas, continues Saturday night with the Battle between Don Carnal and Doña Cuaresma, and the Pregón that will then lead to a great party that will not end until the following Saturday with the Burning of Don Carnal. The "Mamarrachos" are the kings of this Carnival with its mocking and ruthless character.

The carnival of Cádiz is one of the most famous and important carnivals in spain because of the chirigotas. This are music associations that sing carnivals songs and which principal  objective is to make the public laugh. They compete with each other in the "Gran Teatro falla" and the three aspect that are evaluated are:
 - The costumes or presentation.
 - The  quality of the voices.
- The sharpeness of the lyrics.
