Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) é uma competição para estudantes de doutorado desenvolverem em língua inglesa e mostrarem suas habilidades de comunicação, evitando jargões e linguagem acadêmica, explicando à sociedade conceitos importantes de sua pesquisa. A competição teve origem na Universidade de Queensland em 2008, e acontece em nível mundial atualmente.

Regras da Competição AmbHidro
1- Descrever sua tese, diretamente em inglês, para plateia ampla; 
2- Apresentação de 2:40 a 3:00 (padrão internacional);
2- Criar uma narrativa (story); 
3- Conter 1 slide (míníno de palavras) - sem contar o slide inicial com informações (5  segundos extras) – imagens apenas não contam como slides; 
4- Narrativa totalmente em inglês; 
5- Aparecer no vídeo; 
7- Manter a atenção da "plateia";
8- Usar linguagem acessível.
