The Italian peninsula a piece of land almost fully covered by sea, but only one side was covered by land and was connected to Europe witch makes it a peninsula. This was a good thing for the Rome because they had access to not only one sea but there were four different seas. There enemy would have to take boat to fight them and would try to put horses on some of them this made for a lot of trouble for people trying to attack them. Another thing is that they had resources from the sea and form the the forested land.

This was a big mountain range but it didn't let the Apennine Mountains be a problem to divide them. The mountains were protection to the ancient Romans. In Addition when it got snow builds up on the top of the mountain then starts to met during planting season people would get more for there soil.

The Tiber was a 252 mile river, created many more resources for the Romans. The Tiber River provided freshwater so that they can wash their clothes, clean themselves, and clean their food. the river also helps they're swell which was very rich soil because they had the mountains to flood the rivers so that the rivers could get some water to soil and then the soil was really good for growing they had good planting land from this. Another thing is that there was easier access to the seas.
