Outward manners include reviewing, taking notes, asking questions, reading more, and preparing for class. Inward manners are about having the right intention, setting goals, showing respect, good manners, and being consistent. The purpose is to bring us closer to Allahز

Picture 2: Adab of the Qur’an

Here we can see the etiquettes of reciting the Qur’an. For example, having wudhu, sitting nicely, using miswak, pronouncing letters correctly, and reciting calmly in a beautiful tone. We should also not interrupt others, and start with Ta’awwudh and Bismillah.

Picture 3: Group Photo

This is our first usrah photo together.

💭 Reflection

Today’s lesson made me realize that Islam is not only about rituals 🕌, but also a complete way of life 🌍 that guides every aspect of our journey. By learning and discussing the topic in this usrah 🤝, I reflected on how everything in life happens according to Allah’s perfect plan ✨. Sometimes I forget to practice gratitude 🌸 and patience 🌿, even though these are the noble values taught by the prophets 🕊️. This reflection reminded me of the importance of always trusting Allah 🤲🏻 in every circumstance, preparing myself for the Hereafter ⏳, and applying what I learn not only in my studies 📚 but also in my daily life 💡 so that knowledge becomes action and faith becomes stronger 🌟.

Both require us as Muslims to give part of our wealth and share our sustenance with those in need. Allah SWT strongly encourages us to practise these acts in order to obtain blessings in our livelihood. However, both have their differences, including the following:

Zakat

zakah is very important in a Muslim’s life, just like prayer

It is a formal and structured ritual in Islam

Allah SWT specified its recipients, amounts, time and method of payment.

Its consist of two types which are Zakah al-fitr and Zakah al-mal

Sadaqah

It is recommended act of Ibadah

It is neither a formal nor a structured ritual in Islam

Allah SWT did not specify its recipients, amounts, time

and method of payment.

It is inclusive of all acts of giving and donation such as Zakah, Infaq and Waqaf.

In conclusion, we must practise both of these acts of worship in our lives as they complement each other. They help to strengthen ukhuwah (brotherhood) among Muslims and bring us closer to Allah by increasing our sense of complete trust (tawakkul) in Allah SWT.
