My Dream For My Future

My dream for the future isn't the typical "white picket fence" dream with 2.5 kids. I want to be independent and take in the fact that even though i make 70 cents to a mans dollar, i still have more rights than a women who live in Middle East. I want to travel the world and visit all the places i can before I have to settle down and have responsibilities. I also want to become a mid-wife. This country has come so far for women's rights. Now a days, i can become a doctor and no one blinks an eye. Its the "norm" I want to bring life into this world everyday and feel the feeling of seeing an innocent little face before i have one of my own... a long time down the road.

What Steps Will I Need To Take?

The steps i need to take for my dream to see the world is to save money as much as possible. Right now i live in a cheap state, where at my minimum wage job, I make $7.25, whereas in my old state in Connecticut I would have made 10.10. Even though i don't make much, putting aside 20 dollars from every pay check into a savings account will add up quick to help me travel. As for the Mid-Wife dream. i would need to work hard in school to get great grades for colleges can see that i am an asset. Getting into an amazing college is another dream of mine because getting into med school is difficult for people who just went to a school no one really cares about. I need to have a good image. Te ultimate goal is look and be extraordinary so i can noticed. i want schools and jobs to look at me like a shiny coin, a prize to win that everyone wants. i know that sounds horrible because i am not an object but being someone that everyone wants give you great opportunities.

What Obsticles Will i Face?

The obstacles i will face for my traveling dream is that I might not have enough money saved up in time. My family struggles and when I have any extra money money on me i help out with bills and gas as much as i can. Helping my family is a big part of my life because they have helped me with so much that giving some money up is nothing compared to the life they have given me, so i know that saving enough money will be a huge obstacle for me. My challenges for going into the medical field would be losing sight of my goal and being blinded by my love for being free. I feel like i would hold myself back from shining because i want to have fun for the rest of my life.

My plan is to put aside a little money from every check so i can have enough money in a few years to go to the places i love. I am also going to try to get honors in the rest of my classes for the rest pf high school and college. I going to need to work hard and study an hour a night so i can grasp the information given to me. Making honors will help my dream of becoming a mid-wife drastically.

Their dreams were to have a happy family. They wanted an actual house where the kids could run and play and they wanted to feel like they were something in this world. All of the white people had houses and had respectable jobs. The black people back then lived in small apartments and had to shared bathrooms. most African Americans had a small chance of becoming something. Walter wanted to have money to feel masculine and be the head of the house. Ruth just wanted a nice home to live in. Mama wanted her family to be happy and live in peace and harmony. Bennie wanted to become a doctor and find her identity. At the end of the day they all wanted to find happiness.

The Youngers went through money issues. They didn't have much to look forward to. Walter struggled with the fact that mama had the 10,000 dollar check and he wanted it to feel like a man. Bennie struggled with having two men and not being able to figure out which one held the key to her identity. Ruth's obstacles were that she wanted peace but her husband was so money crazy and out of control that she could never have it. Mama just wanted to have a happy family but she struggles were that everyone was so caught up in their own lives they didn't see her and what she wanted.

In my opinion, their background was really them being a happy family. They may have had some blocks in their road of life, but any family that goes through struggles together usually have spent their time helping one another and have bonded and grown together. in reality their real dreams were to be happy with each other and be happy around each other and they got that because their lives were faced with difficulties and they remember how great it was to be together and help out.

The people in America who still struggles even to this day would have to be the minorities. People of color still face ignorance and racism. The majority think they are so high and mighty and they don't think to look into other races or religions. They are to ignorant to the fact that people of color have to work twice as hard to only be half as successful as white people. Some minorities have help from the state like getting food stamps or section 8 but he majority see it us "cheating" at life or something. We get those things because people take one good look at us and only see color and the stereotypes that go along with them. We can get good enough jobs because people do not see a future in us and don't give us the chances that we deserve, let alone the chances that other people get.
