Groups - I like to use them with students to do revising and editing. I think it is important for students to collaborate with each other in order to boost knowledge and let them take charge of their own learning.

Discussion Boards - I like using this tool to have kids discuss current events, tough topics, and evaluating sources while reinforcing their research skills. It is also a good way for them to evaluate other student's work and hold meaningful discussions.
