It is with great delight that we are able to announce details for this year’s key national event, once again to be held in Prestonfield House, Edinburgh.

Following the last two year’s events, which were sold out and had the highest numbers of attendees ever, we are looking forward to welcoming MSPs along with other national leaders to this year’s event.  People from the public sector, business, sport and academia will be joined by church leaders and members for this important moment in the national calendar.

Our speaker for this year is Kate Forbes MSP, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Gaelic.

Our musical contribution for 2026 will once again be from Celtic Worship. Celtic Worship is an authentic expression of sung worship deeply routed in the sound and traditions of Scottish music.

Over two decades of scientific research has shown that listening to a personal playlist can improve the lives of people living with dementia. They can help reduce anxiety, improve mood, make difficult tasks more manageable and evoke memories that can help families and carers connect.

This interactive course explains the benefits of using personalised playlists to support people living with dementia and helps you to learn how to integrate these playlists into people’s daily lives.

There are 16 places available on this course. The day will be fully catered.

Places are free but donations are welcome. All donations will go to our Morningside Hope Project.

The Salvation Army’s City Corps is right in the heart of the Edinburgh Fringe venues. Among all the buzz, the comedy, drama and music, they are offering eight Godly Play sessions.

Come along and hear stories, wonder, respond and feast. 

The sessions start at 11am and 2pm on each of the days.

It is fully catered, starting with dinner after arrival on Monday and ending with breakfast before you leave on Thursday. Food at Kilmalieu is home-made and consistently praised for its quality.

Accommodation is in a mixture of comfortable single, twin and family bedrooms. Some rooms have en-suite facilities, while others have shared toilet and shower facilities available. During our stay, as well as the wonderful environment around us, we will have access to the chapel, sports hall, art room, games room, gym and a secluded bothy!

Our time together will be facilitated by Shula Bayton, Paul Beautyman and Steve Aisthorpe. Shula is an experienced all-round outdoor instructor, based at Scripture Union Scotland’s Allt na Criche centre, near Aviemore. Paul has been a Christian youth worker and trainer for 26 years and runs the training and mentoring programme, ‘Youth Work Journeys. Steve is Centre Director at Kilmalieu, an experienced retreat leader, accredited coach and author of various books, including Rewilding the Church. All three are passionate about helping young people engage with the Creator in and through nature.

Mark Arnold, Additional Needs Ministry Director at Urban Saints and co-founder of Additional Needs Alliance, is the key speaker. He is an enthusiastic national and international advocate and ally for children and young people with additional needs and regularly delivers training across the UK.

Our afternoon seminar programme will equip us with understanding and practical tools to be more effective in sharing the amazing news of Jesus with children and young people who so often feel like they don't belong. Full seminar descriptors are included in the booking process.
