         <description><![CDATA[<p>Supporting someone who's struggling can be tough, but your care and presence can make a big difference. </p><p>Here’s some advice that might help:</p><p>1. <strong>Be There and Listen</strong></p><p>Let your friend know you're there for them. You don’t have to fix everything — just listening without judgment is incredibly powerful. You could say:</p><ul><li><p>“I’m here for you.”</p></li><li><p>“That sounds really hard. Do you want to talk about it?”</p></li></ul><p>2. <strong>Encourage Them to Seek Help</strong></p><p>If your friend seems to be really struggling — especially with things like low mood, anxiety, or self-harm — gently encourage them to talk to a trusted teacher or other safe adult. You might say:</p><ul><li><p>“You don’t have to go through this alone. There are people who can help.”</p></li></ul><p>3. <strong>Know Your Limits</strong></p><p>You're a great friend, but you're not a therapist — and that's okay. Make sure you're looking after yourself too. If you're feeling overwhelmed, it's important to speak to a teacher, parent, or another adult you trust.</p><p>4. <strong>Stay Connected</strong></p><p>People who are struggling often isolate themselves. Keep checking in. Invite them to hang out, even if they say no. Just knowing someone cares can really help.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
