This quote is from the letter that was given to Barbara to go to the cutting-out party. TheOtherGirls are saying that if Barbara wants to be able to fit in with them and hang out with them she has to cut her pony and hurt it. Barbara is so desperate for friendship that she's willing to hurt Sunny just to be able to hang out with TheOtherGirls.
