I’ve been really improving in Maths GCSE since I went from an anticipated grade 6 last year to an anticipated grade 8 and I moved up sets from set 3A to set 2C. I've been doing better this year because of my hard work and help from my maths tutor. My scores in test have consistently been high but I could do more revision to understand and grasp the content to eventually reach my anticipated grade.

I’ve been doing excellent in my coursework and for exams this year I’ve been consistently getting grade 8’s but to improve I want to be able to work more on my coursework to get them all at a grade 9 so I can get my overall grade to a grade 9 and for exams I want to stay consistent in my revision to maintain my grades for Eng Lit and Lang.

Drama

I’ve been going very well in Drama this year in terms of the written exam since I got a grade 8 in my mock but for my C1 and C2 exams which in total are worth 35% of my grade I did a little worse by getting a grade 7 because I wasn’t good with memorising my lines but now I can’t redo my acting exams but I hope to make up for my bad grades by doing very well in my coursework and written exam which I’m doing very well in because of my revision skills, I aim to get a grade 9 in coursework and written exam to get an overall grade 8 for GCSE Drama with C1, C2 and C3 grades together.

French

I’ve been doing very well with my improvements in French since my anticipated grade was a 5 last year but I went from an anticipated grade 5 to an anticipated grade 7 this year because I improved a lot in my exam since I got a grade 8 for reading and writing exam and a grade 6 for listening and grammar bringing my overall grade to a 7 which I’m very proud of

BTEC Business

I’ve been working very hard in BTEC Business for my coursework but my current grade is a merit since in my last 3 assignments I got 2 merits and 1 distinction. But this was just because I was very distracted in class last year with my friends. However this year I’m working much harder and I’m aiming to get a Distinction in all of the rest of my assignments to reach my anticipated grade of Distinction by the end of Year 11.

Combined Science

Science in general is my weakest subject. I moved from triple science to combined science because I couldn’t complete all the content and it was stressing me out. However, I have trouble understanding content and utilising my exam skills to gain full marks in questions.

Physics -

My physics grade is pretty decent since I’m okay at maths and a lot of the physics paper are questions about math. For Physics I got a 73% in my exam which I believe is a grade 6 but I’m happy with this grade because I don’t think I will ever be interested in the field of Science ever again and I don’t plan on taking it in Sixth Form or university since none of my future job aspirations involve science.

Chemistry -

This is my weakest subject in science and in general. I have trouble revising the content because of lack of knowledge about the content. I want to improve this by making more notes, making flash cards and attempting more past papers to practice my exam skills and revise content effectively. My anticipated and current grade is a grade 5 but I believe with some dedication I can bring this to a grade 6 or higher in GCSE.

Biology -

In biology, I believe I’m good at understanding and grasping content but I have trouble with graphs and data evaluation which is also involved in exam skills which is my main problem with biology. That’s why I need to do more revision with biology by reading over notes, making flash cards and attempting past papers.

ClassCharts- I don’t have many ClassCharts at all and I have two negatives. I believe the reason for my lack of positive ClassCharts is because I just don’t bother with trying to achieve them and I don’t ask my teachers to award me ClassCharts. The reason for my two negatives are because of lack of attention in class during tutor but I can improve that by just paying attention and asking my teachers to award me more ClassCharts.

Extra curricular activities in KS4

I’ve been trying to do as many leadership-related extra curriculars as possible to help me improve my leadership, communication and teamwork skills and this helps me be resilient , successful and productive in my academic and personal life. These extra curriculars below also help me develop as a person and grow into an independent and responsible adult.

Year 10- student council

I was chosen for the Student Council in Year 10 where I helped listen to students' needs including their want for an effective teaching and learning environment.

In student council, I engaged with my peers and shared helpful ideas for thought to help make our school environment more engaging and inclusive; especially since being part of the student council means listening to others and helping them feel comfortable and happy at school.

Also, through group work, as part of the student council, I obtained important and critical soft skills which are related to team-based work and communication.

Years 10 and 11- School Tour student leader

I was also a School Tour Student leader for the School in Years 10 and 11. I escorted families and potential student applicants around the school campus and answered questions and addressed challenges that a few parents were facing with the application process.

This really helped me learn how to communicate better and in a more professional manner to promote WIS and learn how to be a strong representation for our school. This also helped me learn how to promote better which could potentially prepare me for a future I’m many fields such as marketing or advertising.

Year 11- MEDLIFE SLT officer

This year I applied for a leadership role in MEDLIFE which is a non-profit student organisation for helping low income families around the world with providing them with opportunities in education, development and medicine.

I got accepted and after I had to go for an interview to see what specialized leadership role they would choose for me and they chose SLT officer and this was a perfect suit for me because I can make a positive impact to the world around me through MEDLIFE
