         <description><![CDATA[<div>The topic of the graphs is how is the veteran population made up, the population is being split into the two genders in the first graph, ages, and how long they served in the other two. I noticed the majority of the population is males. The second graph shows the ages of veterans has a trend towards older aged people as the younger folks are likely still serving. Most of the veterans came from the Vietnam era wars.&nbsp;<br>The topic is how the amount of homeless veterans is rising. The US homeless veteran population is shown by the map and number at each state. The most populated and upcoming states tend to have the largest homeless veteran populations. The higher homeless vet population tends to be along the coast. I can predict that this population will only rise and grow even more especially in those already heavily populated areas and states like Texas which is on the rise in population.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first graph is a pi chart showing who our veterans are from gender (male blue) (female tan) and what wars they served in. The second chart shows the United States and the number of homeless veterans per state by percentage. The variables for the first graph are different colors showing what wars  they served in, their age, and their gender. The second graph variables show darker colors for more homeless vets and lighter colors for less homeless vets. The trends for homeless vets are higher in states with larger populations. There is also a significant difference between male and female veterans as there are more male. Inferences I can make are that there are more homeless vets in populated states because living expenses in bigger states are costly. I can connect this personally because I live in California and I know it is very expensive to live here.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In graph #1, the topic is about our Veterans, shown in a pie chart. The quantities compared are gender, age, and when they served. The input is the categories and the output is the percentages. Some observations I made were that there is a significant difference when comparing the gender of veterans. More specifically there are way more men in the field. Ages, on the other hand, are very balanced with the exception of ages 18-34. When they served is also similar to Ages, with people who served in WW2 having the smallest percent. In the next 10 years, I can foresee more females in the field, and the war percents slowly decreasing as years go forward and people die. However I predict that ages with stay the same.<br><br>Graph #2 is a graph showing the Rise of Homeless Vets in an info-graph. Quantities include the States as the input, and the percents as the output. Some observations I made are that, the more populated the state, the more homeless vets the state has. For example California and Florida. In the future, I predict that these rate will continue to rise, unless states decide to do something to help.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The topic of graph #1 is who are our veterans? The graph is a pie chart and it is comparing veterans gender, age and when they served. Since it is a pie chart, there are no X and Y values but the input is gender, age and where they served, and the output is the percentages. The observations I can make is that there are more male veterans than female, the average age of the veterans are between 65-74 years old, and they mostly served during the Vietnam war. In the next ten years, I see there being more veterans, the average age staying the same, and the war they served during being different because slowly the veterans will die and there will be new veterans who served during different times.&nbsp;<br><br>The topic of graph #2 is Homeless vets on the rise. This is an info graph that shows the percentage of homeless vets in each state and then the exact number. There are no X and Y values since it's an info graph, but the input is homeless vets in a state, and the output is the percentage. The states that have above 6% of the population as homeless veterans are Florida and California. The state with the most homeless veterans is  California, with 11,472. The state with the least is Wyoming, with 63. I think over the years the amount of homeless veterans will rise unless we can find a way in our own communities to help the veterans.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Graph #1 is a pie chart that shows the majority of veterans based on age, gender, and when they served. The pie chart does not have an x-axis and y-axis, but it compares it's numbers by dividing the circle into different sections to show a percentage. It is shown that the majority of veterans are male, 65-74, and served in the Vietnam Era. The chart does not show a trend over the years so we are unable to predict for the next 10 years. In the future, I can foresee the amount of women in this area increasing as more women are interested in this field, although I believe that the majority of veterans will stay ages 65-74.<br>Graph #2 communicates the amount of homeless veterans in each states through colors, shown in a key.&nbsp; This info graph does not have a x and y axis but shows trends in each area. Most of the homeless veterans seem to be in California and Florida. This could be caused by the large population, making a larger ratio. Since these states have&nbsp; a larger population than other states, such as the yellow states in the middle east, they are going to have a higher homeless veteran population. In the future, I can foresee the trend staying the same, as the more populated states will always have a higher amount of homeless veterans.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Graph 1 displays the percentile of our veteran's gender, age, and service.  The Second Graph displays the percentile of the rise of homeless veterans per state.  In graph 1, the male to female ratio is 91.1% male to an 8.9% female ratio within 18.2 million veterans.  The second pie chart in graph 1 displays the age percentile of veterans in 5 different age gaps.  The last pie chart demonstrates the 5 wars the veterans correlate to.  Graph 2 demonstrates the number of homeless vet in each state displaying a warming color to represent the density of homelessness in the supported area.  In graph 1, we can see that Men are overpowering the Women in terms of service.  In the second pie chart we can see that most veterans are over the age of 35.  And in the last pie chart we can see that the Vietnam era had to highest number of vets., though WW2 is very little due veterans dying, so theyre not counted.  In graph it shows that central parts of America such as Cali, Texas, New York, and Florida are densely populated with homeless vets, even with the rough living conditions in high maintenance states.  In graph 1, I would think that in 10 years the older the war is, the fewer veterans there will be correlating to that specific war and the Male to Female ratio will continue to be the same, and as of age gap I expect it to stay the same as demand of recruits for war is not as needed as it used to be.  In graph 2 I believe that in 10 years these 4 states will become more red as it becomes harder and harder every year to live in central states due to the pace and high demand from the state.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first examples are pie charts that show the details about our veterans. It shows their gender, their age, and their service time. And in each chart they are only comparing to the 7.3% of the population that are veterans. In most of the charts there is a big outlier yet in the age chart it is majorly equal.<br><br>In the second example it is a info graphic about the veterans that are homeless in America. With each color it shows the percentage of shared homeless veterans. With that California and Florida have the most homeless veterans. Where states like Alaska, Utah, and Minnesota have the least. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first graph is a set of three pie charts showing the gender of veterans, the age of veterans, and when the veterans served as of 2017. The first graph shows that ~90% of total veterans are male and ~10% of total veterans are female. The second pie chart show the age and the percent of the total veteran population that age takes up, 18-34 year olds make up ~9%, 35-54 year olds make up ~24%, 55-64 year olds make up ~18%, 65-74 year olds make up 27%, and 75+ Year olds make up 23%. The third pie chart shows the general period in which the veterans served, with ~19 serving during the first Gulf War, ~21% serving during the second Gulf War, ~36% serving during the Vietnam era, ~8% served served during the Korean War, ~3% percent serving during World War 2, and ~13% serving during peacetime.<br><br>The second graph is a infographic showing the homeless veteran population and the percentage of total homeless veterans in each state in 2017. Each state is colored a different color showing the percent of the total homeless veteran population in their states with a yellow state possessing less than 1%, an orange state possessing from 1-2.9%, a red state possessing 3-6%, and a dark red state possessing +6%. Each state also has a number  on it showing its total homeless veteran population. The more populous the state the more homeless veterans in the state with the most populous state, California, having 11,472 of the 40,056 total homeless veterans in their state. The total homeless veteran population has increased by 585 from 2016-2017 and if that positive trend were to continue The US would continue to have an ever worsening homeless veteran problem than we already have. It is incredibly unfortunate that the number of homeless veterans is increasing instead of decreasing and work must be done to solve this problem.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Both the graphs are giving information about the population of veterans.&nbsp; The first graph is talking about the percentages of veterans, their genders, how old they are and what branch they served for.&nbsp; The second graph gives us information about the amount of homeless veterans that are in the United States.&nbsp; The quantities in the first graph are the veteran's gender, age and branches of army.&nbsp; The second graph's quantities&nbsp;are the amount of homeless people and the percentages in each state.  Some observations that I can make about graph 1 is that there are more male than female veterans, and that there are more Vietnam veterans overall.  Some observations that I can make about graph 2 is that there are more homeless veterans in the state of California than all the other states in the USA.   In graph number 1, I can foresee in the next 10 years the uprising of more male veterans in the future.  In graph number 2, I can foresee  the uprising in the next 10 years of the homeless veteran population in the state of California.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In graph 1, the topic is about the demographics of the Veterans in the U.S., in a pie chart. The quantities compared are their gender, how old they are, and when they served. The observation I saw is the ratio of men to women in the army and the amount of veterans coming from Vietnam and the second Gulf War.&nbsp; In 10 years, I can see less veterans from the older wars, since they are old and may die in the coming years.&nbsp;<br>In graph 2, the topic is about the amount of homeless veterans in each state of the U.S. The quantities compared are the amount of veterans homeless within each state. An observation I saw is how there are more homeless vets in the states with more population than in the states with less population. It's because of the ratio between the population and the homeless vets and I can infer that the ration throughout all of the states are somewhat similar. In 10 years, I can see less homeless vets in each state, since it is getting more attention and there can be programs to help them in the next 10 years.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The topic of the graphs is who are our veterans. This is a pie chart. There are no x and y axes but what is being compared is their age, how old they are, and when they served. When looking at their gender we see a little over 90% of veterans are male. When looking at ages surprisingly between the ages 18-34 there is a significant drop in people, this is a decrease. The other ages are almost the same. Vietnam had the most people who served in a war, while WW II had the least. Within 10 years I see this data being almost the same unless their is another war. My grandfather served in the Vietnam war and it is crazy to see how many people were apart of that war, this was the largest amount.&nbsp;<br><br>The topic of this graph is how many homeless veterans are in the US. What is being compared in this graph is the percentage of homeless veterans in each different state, there is no x and y axes though. While looking at this graph we see that the Midwest looks like the area with the least amount of homeless veterans. The two states with the most homeless veterans is California and Florida with more than 6% homeless. The east coast has the second least amount of homeless veterans with about 1-3% being homeless. In ten years I only see the rise of homeless veterans going up because of prices  rising all the time. It is hard to own a house and have basic necessities in the US. I think that it is so horrible that people who fought for our country now might be homeless and have to live on the streets, they do not deserve this. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The first graph is a pie chart showing the gender of the United States 18.2 million veterans. The blue on the chart represents male veterans and the beige represents female veterans. This graph shows a large positive trend for male veterans who make up 81.9% of US veterans as opposed to female veterans who make up 8.9% of the US veteran population. This could be used as an inference that their needs to be more gender equality in the US military as for years women were not allowed to serve. &nbsp;<br><br>The second graph is a pie chart demonstrating the age of the 18.2 million US veterans. The blue on the chart represents the age range of 18-34, beige represents 34-54, red represents 55-64, gray represents 65-74, and olive represents 75 and older. The pie charts shows that majority of veterans are within the age range of 65-74. Second largest age group is those who are 34-54 and older, third being 75 and older, fourth is 55-64, and the least amount being in the 18-34 age range. This graph can be used to infer that veterans are dominated by older generation who may need our aid as they become older. It can also be inferred that the majority of large conflicts the US has been in occurred within 30-70 years ago as the majority of veterans seem to have been born between the 1930s-1980s.&nbsp;<br><br>The third graph is a pie chart demonstrating the wars which the 18.2 million veterans served in. The blue on the chart represents Gulf War I, beige represents Gulf War B, red represents the Vietnam War, gray represents the Korean War, olive represents World War II, and orange represents peacetime. The graphs shows that majority of todays veterans served in the Vietnam War at 36.7%, second being the Gulf War B at 20.8%, Gulf War I at 19.4% , Peacetime at 12.6%, Korean War at 8.1%, and the least amount being World War II at 3.4%. This graph can be used to infer that Vietnam was the largest US conflict of recent date due to its high number of veterans who come from it. It can also be inferred that we are losing a large amount of our older generation as the World War II and Korean War percentages are the lowest while also being very large conflicts. &nbsp;<br><br>Graph #2 is an infographic demonstrating the rise of Homeless veterans in the United&nbsp; States by showing the share of homeless vets in each of the 50 states of the United States. Yellow is shown to represent 1%, Orange represents 1-2.5%, light red represents 3-6%, and dark red represents over 6%. This graphs large amounts of homeless vets in large states such as California and Florida while showing lower amounts in smaller states like Montana and Alaska. This is still a concern as even those, with proportion to their smaller populations, still have quite a large amount. It can inferred from this graph that homeless veterans levels could be rising and we must as a nation purse ways of aiding them through programs and other methods of aid such as charities. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the graph #1, the topic is how is the Veteran population made up. The charts depict the population being split up between two genders in the first pie chart. It also portrays how old they were in the second pie chart, and when they served in the third pie chart. Its a mixture of gender, age, and when they served. The input is the categories and the output is the percentages. The pie chart does not have an x-axis or y-axis, but their numbers are compared by dividing the circle into different sections that inherit percentages. An observation: there are more men then are are women. The population is made up of a trend of mostly males, as there are 16,584,495 male veterans and 1,620,110 female veterans in the first pie chart. On the contrary, ages, were well-balanced besides with the exception of the ages of 18-34. When they served the people who served in WW2 have the smallest percent but the highest percent in the Vietnam era. In the near future I can see more women being added to the population, war percentages depleting, but I predict that the ages will have little change and will stay close to the same.&nbsp;<br><br>In graph #2, it portrays the amount of homeless veterans in each state. They are rendered through colors in the key. The graph does not have an x-axis or a y-axis but depicts trends in each state/area. The yellow states possess less than 1%, orange states possess 1-2.9%, the red states possess 3-6%, a dark red state possess 6% or more.  The trend for this is that most the homeless veterans seem to be in two different states; California and Florida(dark red). These states have a high population which makes a higher ratio of homeless veterans. Compared to Nebraska and Kansas(yellow), these states have a low population which render less homeless veterans. The total homeless veteran population has increased by 585 from 2016-2017, this is a positive trend and if it is going to keep happening the United States would have more an more homeless veterans. It is very interesting the number of homeless veterans is increasing rather than decreasing. I predict that within 10 years we will still have this same issue. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Graph #1 topic is a pie chart exhibiting veterans age, gender, and when they served. The pie chart does not have a distinct x-axis and y-axis. The data is put into sections of the pie with the percentage it takes up. The gender, age, and when they served goes on the x-axis while the number of people is on the y-axis. The largest trend of veterans gender is male veterans. The largest trend of age range is the 65-74 group and the people that served in the Vietnam Era. The chart doesn't show a trend over the years but shows all the information in one pie chart. In the next ten years, I can see more females changing the gender pie chart. I see the ages of veterans age trend not changing but staying the same at 55-64.<br><br>Graph #2 is an info graph showing the homeless vets around the US.&nbsp;The info graph. This info graph does not have a distinct x-axis and y-axis. There is trends shown in the graph which is shown by a key explaining the magnitude of homelessness of each state. Many homeless vets are found in California and Florida which is the largest of the trend. The east coast had a good amount of homeless veterans but they are little states. The bigger the state shows a greater amount of homeless veterans. From this data, I can infer that there is a great amount of homelessness in the east coast along with bigger states in the US. The Homeless veterans trend is incredibly difficult to see because the prices in California have risen making it hard for veterans to afford shelter and food. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The topic of graph #1 is who are our veterans and how the nation's 18.2 million veterans make up 7.3% of our population. The graphs are pie charts and compare gender, age, and different wars they served in. Due to the fact that there is no X and Y axis for this graph, there are no upward or downward and no sudden spikes in the data. Based on the fact that 91.1% of veterans are males, I can infer that is mostly due to the fact that women weren't really allowed to serve in the army or navy until about 100 years ago. Even today, it's not very popular for women to serve, but I feel that with time more women will serve and cause a change in the chart. In the last pie chart it shows when veterans served, I can see that more people began to serve over time. From this, I can infer that if another major war happens, there will be a large increase in the number of veterans.<br><br>The topic of graph #2 is homeless veterans on the rise. The graph is a color-coded map that shows how many veterans there are in each state and what percentage of people they make up in the state. Due to the fact that there is no X and Y axis for this graph, there are no upward or downward and no sudden spikes in the data.&nbsp;It makes the most sense for the larger states to have the largest amount of veterans inside, but it's heartbreaking to see how much of the population they make up. Considering I have grown up living in California I am able to make a personal connection with this graph because as I have gotten older I have noticed the rise in homeless on the streets. Although I hope that there is a decline in the number of homeless veterans in the next ten years, I infer there will only be an even larger increase of them due to funds and not having enough housing for these individuals. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The topic of this graph is the veterans how much of the population they make up based on different categories. The data is in the form of a pie chart with percentages and the first graph covers the veterans gender. I noticed that there is a much higher percentage of men compared to female veterans. The next graph goes over The ages and what I found interesting is the highest percentage of veterans are between the ages of 65.74 years old. The last graph shows what time period they served in, and the highest percentage was the Vietnam Era. In the next 1- years, I infer that the ages for the veterans will increase because their ages will increase.<br><br>The second graph shows the percentage of homeless veterans across America. The graph uses color to depict the different percentages. Based on the graph, I see that the higher populated states have higher percentages of homeless veterans. I can infer that as population grows in each state, so will the homeless veterans. <br><br>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <title>Kayla Cho                                                                                                          Graph 1 shares information of the veterans based on their genders, ages, and year these veterans served. Since the graph is a pie chart, it doesn’t have x-axis and y-axis. However, the input is their genders, age and when they served, and the output is the percentages. I noticed that most of the veterans were men. I also noticed that most of them served during the Vietnam War Era. In the future, I can foresee that there will be more women than in the past for this job based on what is happening in this job field these days.                                                                                                                 Graph 2 shows the amount of homeless vets in America states. There are also no x-axis and y-axis since it is just a chart showing information. However, the input is homeless vets in a state and the output is the percentage. I noticed that California has the most homeless vets out of all states and the second largest was Texas. In the future, I can foresee that California will still have the most homeless vets out of all states because a lot of people are moving into California these days. </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In Graph number one it shows the ratio between male and female veterans, the age range, and the time period in which they had served. Graph Number two shows the number of homeless veterans in each state of America and the overall severeness. In graph number one's first chart doesn't have an x or y-axis, but it compares all the numbers for a total percentage which is similar to a bar chart. In ten years all that will happen is the amount of Veterans in the higher age ranges like 64-75 and 75+ will decrease while age ranges like 18-34 and 35-54 will increase. The ratio of men and women will increase in favor of women most likely and it'll be rare to have anyone from world war II and the Korean War's numbers will decrease. Some observations I've made are that Males are significantly drafted more as well as the Vietnam war being the most veteran dense of all the wars listed.<br>On the other hand Graph Number two's&nbsp;data is a lot different. This graph could potentially have an x and y-axis with the x being percentage and the y being the population. Each percentage range has its own color, for example, higher percentages like 6 and above have a dark red color for its state; Percentages like less than 1 percent have a very light yellow. In ten years all the numbers are likely to increase but the overall increase in each state depends on the number of veterans in each state since those two amounts are dependant on each other.</div>]]></description>

I see more men joining the military and the gap between the two growing causing more male vets.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The topic of graph #1 is who are our veterans, which is shown in the pie charts. The charts are comparing to their genders, ages, and when they served. The input of the graphs are the categories and the output of the graphs are the percentages. Some observations I made were in the gender pie chart there is a significant difference between them. The Age and when they serves pie charts are very similar, and are pretty muted balanced. In the future, I can predict that there will be an increase in the amount of women being in the veteran field, the ages will stay pretty much the same, and the war percentage will decrease.&nbsp;<br>The topic in graph #2 is Homeless vets on the rise. This is an infer-graph.  The qualities include the states as the input and the output are the percents. Some of my  observations are the more populated states the more homeless vets the state will have. In the future, I predict that the rate will increase because the population rate will keep continuing to rise. </div>]]></description>
