November 11, 2016 is Veteran's Day, a day that we as the general population celebrate the men & women who sacrifice so that we can have the freedoms we enjoy.  But we need to remember: these men and women have seen things no person should have to, have been asked to do things no person should ever need to.  They don't want to be celebrated, they want to be respected.  Be careful when thanking a service member - they have done things you haven't realized, and some of them have to live with doing terrible things - even in the name of freedom....A forced or over-exuberant "Thank You" can do harm, when a single nod of recognition would suffice.
