Cathy remembers Adnan getting a phone call and describes how "The phone rings and he hadn’t said anything the whole time he had been there, so when he answers the phone, and he’s saying “what am I going to do? In this situation, we can infer that Adnan is worried the police will call him and figure out that he is the one who had killed Hae. If he didn't kill her, there would be no reason he would be worried about talking to the police. Officer Adcock testifies that he calls around 6:24, about 20 minutes after Adnan was worried on the other call.

At the same time Jay describes Adnan burying Hae, his phone is located in Leakin Park, even when he testified that he was never there. Adnan supposedly had his phone for the rest of the night, and the location of the cell pings lead right to Hae's body.
