         <title>December 5, 1955: Montgomery Bus Boycott</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Black people wanted to protest against segregation and decided to boycott pubic transit and refused to sit on the bus because of the seating laws.  Rosa parks lead the protest as she refused to sit at the back of the bus.  This was illegal back then because there was a law that black people could only sit at the back of the bus.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The idea of segregation was to split black people and white people.  This meant that black kids couldn't go to schools with white people.  Mr. Brown a dad of a black child took the board of education to court and explained how the schools the black kids were going too weren't as good as schools with white kids.  The court then decided to end segregation.  </div>]]></description>
