I graduated this summer from Florida International University (FIU) with a bachelors in Psychology. I am from Cuba but raised in Spain, I came to the United Sates when I was 16 and I finished High School here. Thanks to this change I can say that I am bilingual. I am working full-time as an RBT and part-time student. I started working as an RBT recently. I selected this topic because I have been trying to move out of my parent's house and I am not able to because of the price. My research shows that the leading causes of expensive rent in Miami are tepid salary increase, higher construction and land expenses, intensified demand for rental, and increased home worth, leading to rent being costly in Miami. The main consequences experienced as a result of expensive rent are shortages of housing that minimize the statistics of minimal-income individuals and increased demand for housing.My thoughts about this are that Miami is a high-level economy, I think that we are paying the price for living in a tropical place in the USA. Also, rent is going to continue to increase as people from the north are coming down.
