         <description><![CDATA[<p>Hammurabi's Code originated in Sippar, Mesopotamia. (Modern day Iraq.) It was created from 1792 - 1750 BC. It was written by King Hammurabi of Babylon. It was 282 laws, and was intended to establish a consistent and promote justice for King Hammurabi's empire. It covered various aspects of life, such as, property law, family law, commercial law, and criminal law. Hammurabi's Code was written to establish a set of laws and legal procedures for Hammurabi's kingdom, ensuring justice and promoting social order.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The English Bill of Rights was written in 1689. It commenced February 13, 1689. It was written by the Parliament of England. Its territorial extent was England and Wales. It was written to reshape the balance of power in England, by limiting the monarchy's authority, and establishing key rights for England's citizens. It explains that, there should be limitations on the monarchy (for taxation and military actions), and guarantees individual rights, such as freedom of speech, and protection from cruel and unusual punishments. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The seventeen article of the constetution is a document created by Prince Shotoku during Japan's asuka period in 604 and it was adopted in the reign of Empress Suiko.The article was a political and moral code that defines laws and government structures.This article was intended to organize,promote harmony,and shape ethics of officials.Shotoku made the article to teach the officials to govern properly and to behave with harmony and loyalty.Shotoku promoted buddhism through out his life and even after his death people looked up to him as a Buddhist saint.He stayed in the throne until he died in 622 his article was very impressive since his article was the first one that tried helping the government to be better using moral codes.</p>]]></description>

Drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world, the Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in Paris on 10 December 1948, as a common standard of achievements for all peoples and all nations. The UDHR&nbsp;is widely recognized as having inspired, and paved the way for, the adoption of more than seventy human rights treaties, applied today on a permanent basis at global and regional levels (all containing references to it in their preambles).&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
