It was a unit in which I discovered a lot and outright enjoyed. It encompassed most of the topics that I think of when I think of chemistry, which is mostly due to my lack of prior learning in chemistry, and my view of it being very superficial. The material learnt in this will also be very helpful in other topics, I presume. The labs were educational and fun. I wish there were more quizzes or tests to know my progress throughout the topic, as I was sometimes uncertain about where I was, especially in the topics near the end of the chapter. The part about ideal gases was the part I found the most difficult. I found the test fair, not too hard or too easy, in judging our skills and knowledge learnt in the unit. The google presentation was very helpful, particularly in being able to follow in class while you presented and explained along the way. It also helped that we could stay on a previous slide and try to understand it better, without asking you and feeling that I'm slowing down the learning of others. I feel we should've worked a bit more with problems, such as those in the Edexcel booklet. I was confused by some of the terms, and was especially confused that elements existed in different oxidations states (I think that's what it's called, I just googled it), i.e. that iron exists in both Fe (II) and Fe (III). I'm not sure whether these are things that we should know after this unit or if it'll be covered more extensively in a further unit (probably in topic 4). All in all, it's been a unit that I've learnt a lot from because of its interactive and informative presentation, the multiple practicals, and your explanations; the textbook is also very helpful and perhaps the best textbook among all the subjects.

Personally, it wasn't easy, but I heard from my seniors that this is one of the easiest unit so I was very frustrated.. I think I did not have enough practice, and I did not understand the unit well so I could not finish the test on time, and I eventually failed it. It was a pretty long unit, so I think that we should have more quizzes so we can know if we are on the right track. But still, the lab and things we learned were pretty exciting, and I enjoyed the class.

This topic was difficult in terms of the number of concepts that we had to learn. The labs were fun and interesting, however, the problems that required lot of calculation were hard. Overall, I enjoyed the class and enjoyed doing practicals.

Honestly this topic was very hard and it was more challenging as it was our first topic for chemistry. I was very shocked at my score but after getting the test result for this topic, I realized that chemistry require huge amount of dedication. Therefore I'm going to study more on chemistry.
