This study explores the effect of bilingual instruction on students' comprehension skills, focusing on word order, contextual meaning, and theme expression in simple English. A mixed-methods approach was utilized, involving 18 students. The study observed students behaviour and activities throught classroom observation. The results demonstrate significant improvements in students' sentence recognition, analysis, and construction abilities. Notably, bilingual students developed awareness of complex word order, enabling them to articulate their understanding of comprehension passages and exhibit enhanced comprehension. The findings suggest that bilingual instruction promotes independent reading skills, boosts confidence, and enhances English language proficiency.

1.I see significant improvement in my children’s vocabulary learning. Out of 18 kids 12 have learned over 150 words along with their meanings.

2.When it comes to understanding the material all the children can grasp the content and put it in the order.

3.Additionally, 14 out of 18 kids can complete their homework tasks on their own, without help from their parents or siblings

4.Even in the third term, I notice that the kids could remember the words they learned in ‘ Trip to Ooty ’ and could explain their meanings right way.

5.They even ask me for the book let we gave as bilingual material

6.After 12 years of teaching English, I watch my students learn the language with joy and confidant even more they feel a strong connection with me
