You had to do to strenuous work every day for now money. That is what Frederick Douglass had to do almost everyday of his life.<br>Background information: The name of the book is called, <em>The Narrative of The Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave </em>made by Frederick Douglass himself in 1845. The book is about how Frederick Douglass goes through a lot of hardships throughout his life being a slave and how he eventually escapes and writes this book. <br>Thesis Statement: Along with the use of figurative language Douglass uses his experiences to reveal the effects of slavery on slaves and slaveowners, which supports his position to end slavery</div>]]></description>
