The government was taking the properties of the citizens so they can pay off debts. A good solution that the government could've done was to allow people to keep their money and homes and just forget about the stocks so the citizens can survive. This did not happen because the government was too greedy to allow the citizens to keep their money from debts.

Not only regular citizens were being bankrupt but also businesses. This led to many businesses not having enough money to keep a lot of the employees. This was the cause of the 25% unemployment rate.

Money was so scarce during the Great Depression that people were willing to do anything for money. This was mainly shown through tons of manual labor. This was really hard to provide though because of the dust bowl which made it harder to find jobs.

Throughout the Great Depression, people were struggling to live. A solution that some people had was to stay together as a community and take care of each other. This idea was really good and allowed a lot of people to survive through the tough times.

Even though some people still lived in nice big houses does not mean that they could afford to live there forever. In a lot of films that take place in this time period, the houses are somewhat decent even though the majority of people didn't even have enough money to get food.

The deprivation of money was so common that people just got used to it. When people were able to realize that they could not support themselves, they freaked out. This shows that the government was not giving enough money like they were supposed to according to the organizations that FDR created.

During the Great Depression, many people could not even afford a life. Many people starved or froze to death in homeless encampments. This is because the government took their money.

Even though in my opinion people should have stuck together to get through their hardships, segregation was still a thing. This meant that the lower class (black people) were hit the worst by the effects of the Great Depression. Many of these people were thought to be communists so they were treated poorly by the white citizens.

Mary Poppins Returns is a good movie that represents how life was during the great depression. The plot is that the Banks family is having their home threatened to be taken away from the bank. Through these tragic times, the Banks children found a broken kite and fixed it with some papers. When all hope was lost and the home was about to be lost, they discovered that the paper was a bank interest paper worth enough money to save their home.

Imagine that you own a piece of land that you are happy with but the government took it away because you had no money. You would feel sad right, well during the Great Depression, this happened to 25% of the U.S. population. This is only those who lost their homes but many more people had barely enough money to survive in their homes.

During the Great Depression, there was barely any money. People were concerned as to how they could live. People had to live on the streets and could barely afford to eat.
