         <description><![CDATA[<div>Assessing maths in a competence-based approach includes a set of changes focusing basically on what students actually understand or misunderstand rather than what's right or wrong in a formative or summative assessment. Assessment would rather be a day to day practice in the classroom and final examination would prove to be rather less predictable and include problem solving parts. As such, a new form of tasks has to be invented and change to the assessment is necessary. Altering the style of the final exam changes the whole teaching style!</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Greece<br>In my opinion the best way to bring in the classroom a competence-based approach is to proceed to changes to assessment methods. So, this module was revealing. Changes would need to involve classroom  discussions,  group work and working out a project collaboratively with a common goal. I very much agree with using formative assessment mainly as a day-to-day practice. There is a lot to be done for improving teachers' self-confidence&nbsp;and competencies, but it would be rewarding. </div>]]></description>
