The state changers offer an opportunity for physical and mental relief. Maybe a student just needs a break but is having an issue saying that. You can use the state changer to offer that without bringing attention to that student in a negative way. AVID claps as fun and encouraging. It gives everyone a minute to breathe and laugh together.
