Mountain chains be used as evidence for plate tectonics because there are mountains that were formed around the same time. Greenland, North America and Europe have mountains that were formed around the time. Because of that you can understand that they might of been connected a long time ago. Without plate tectonics these mountains wouldnt be made.

Fossils can be used as evidence of plate tectonics because the fossils have to be in the same area so that proves that at a time the different countries that the fossils were in were once super close. For example, the only way to explain why the green or why the plant fossils are at different countries on today's map is that those countries were once all together. Without plate tectonics there would still only be the one supper continents other wise known as Pangaea and there would be no earthquake and no volcanoes and etc.

Mountain Ranges can be used as evidence of plate tectonics because when to Continental plates collide than they push each other up and will create a mountain range. For example, the only way to explain Mountain Ranges is that everything was once put together and that was called Pangaea. Without plate tectonics it would be a flat piece of land with nothing cool like mountains.
