We invited parents to see the final result of the project: our stands with information about the different regions in Spain. They are all fascinating!!!

  • Learning about the primary colors with natural dyes (red cabbage, onion and beetroot). 
  • Experimenting to dye with water and wool and mixing primary colors (also with a color wheel). 
  • Learning where dyes come from and the process of dyeing wool. 
  • Designing a piece of scarf pattern. 
  • Weaving with a cardboard loom and working on patterns.  
  • Working as a team and creating the scarf together.

The Smart spaces also had 3D-printed furniture like chairs, sofas and even a billiard board!

We decided to measure the land with our hands and feet, but...WE HAD A PROBLEM!!
When we measured with other objects it was the same..."Why don't we get the same results if we measured with pencils, scissors, glue...? How can we solve that problem?"
Finally we did it!!!

From the point of view of Science, aplied maths, arts and technology.
This is a great activity to start in STEAM projects. I really encourage teachers to try it in their schools.
