The articles are different because in "Escape from a War Zone" the individuals left because they believed they were living too close to where the fighting was. On the other hand, in the article "The Great Hunger" the reason individuals left because a third of the potatoes they grew rotted in the ground, and most of the thing the individuals ate there were potatoes, so they ran short on food, and came to the United States or Canada.
