         <description><![CDATA[<div>The ETF are looking for providers willing to host maths and English resilience courses in London.  These one day courses address the negative attitudes towards learning English or maths commonly held by young people and adults, and identify strategies to engage and motivate them - helping them to become more resilient learners.          <title>Professional development programme to support the teaching of Functional Skills in maths and English</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has commissioned ccConsultancy and partners to develop and deliver professional development courses for teachers of Functional Skills maths and English using a new set of materials, developed by Pye Tait Consulting on behalf of ETF, to support the teaching and learning of these qualifications. <br><br></div><div>The content of the materials is engaging and will help build learner confidence. They’re appropriate to a range of contexts, including 16-19 learners, apprentices, adult returners, learners in prisons and ESOL, and can be used in both high and low-tech teaching environments. <br><br></div><div>The offer comprises:</div><ul><li><strong>Interactive</strong> <strong>webinars</strong> introducing the materials and how they can be used </li><li><strong>One-day practitioner courses </strong>(one maths and one English) that will enable practitioners to explore the Functional Skills subject materials in depth and understand the underpinning approaches that shape them </li><li><strong>Two-day, in-house CPD courses</strong> that will enable teams of Functional Skills teachers to receive bespoke support to meet their learners’ needs and secure high-quality learning outcomes.</li></ul><div><br></div><div>Booking will be open from November/ December, and courses will be delivered from February 2018.<br><br></div><div>This is a great opportunity to develop and enhance professional practice, and we expect demand for places to be high. </div>]]></description>
