2. The teacher can show the students step-by-step instructions on the board in front of the class. The teacher can then give the students a simple prompt to complete by using the new platform while the teacher walks around the room answering questions and making sure they are on task.

Model: teaching students how to make a calendar by sharing a google doc where students will help me fill in the calendar of things we will do each day during that month.

As teachers, we can use a "learning/workshop day" demonstrate how to use these tools when they're doing projects, papers, and presentations so that they are much familiar with it themselves.

1. Teachers can help the students be successful with this by introducing them to credible sites such as Galileo and Google Scholar in order to further develop their understanding on standards they are currently studying.

In order to model this, a teacher could develop a project that involves the growth of plants. A teacher could bring in different plants and use the ideas from the students to determine which will best aid in the growth of the plant. This allows students to use their prior knowledge to aid in their learning.

Also, they could do a group writing project. The teacher could bring in her essay with a multitude of sources and give students the opportunity to figure out whether they believe they were primary, secondary, and properly cited. This will help them figure out how to successfully use the best sources as well as avoiding plagiarism.

How can teachers give support: Give students comments on their Weebly website work and have them find the comments that you left and respond for their group. The teacher can also walk around and give help to each group on how to navigate these.

Model: Split students into groups with one device per group and Share a created Weebly website on screen. Model by you answering the first questions on websites and allowing the groups to see how you can allow for global collaboration on the website.

Teachers can facilitate group work where students can work through different technological problems and programs. This can help students be successful through new, useful, and imaginative solutions within these group projects.

The growing use of AI in the classroom can help these students to generate ideas to work from, with original thoughts prevailing over the artificial ones.

1. Teachers can provide students with templates for websites such as Canva, Youtube, and Powerpoint. These templates can be specific to different lessons being taught to set standards for the expectations for that assignment.

How can we teach/model the standard:

1. In math, you can teach students how to appropriately use technology (calculators) and how to use calculator shortcuts to solve certain math problems.

2. In history, students can create concept maps in Microsoft Word to keep a reliable collection of their ideas and thoughts together.

3. In history, students can use blogspot and other website makers to create a blog centered around how they feel a historical figure would have blogged/journaled their life.
