It means that the government gets its rights to make decisions from the people it governs. Not from itself, from the people. It gets its power to take the actions it takes from listening and taking ideas from whom it governs. The government exists for the people, to take the people’s ideas and turn them into something real.
  The government gets to, and is able to do these things, by listening to the people. It doesn’t get its power because it’s the government, and it rules the countries/colonies/whatever it gets its power because the people are making a “trade.” Think about it this way, the people give ideas and gives the government power, in exchange for the government making/turning the people’s ideas into something real, something, a law they have to abide.

  Enough rambling, let’s show you an example for better understanding of this principle. Voting, people vote and decide for the government, who they want to rule, this is an example of the people giving the government their power, the people are picking for them, and the people chose this because of their choices, and what the majority of the people think is right.

        To me, each and every one of us was born with the same rights. Mainly natural rights because all of us have them. (As explained in one of the sections in Chapter Six) So wether you were born with one skin color or another, it doesn’t matter. This loophole becomes more prominent every hundred years in History.
         Example [in colonial times when people did not understand this principle]:
Two babies were born at the same time on the same day with different parents. One is white and the other is black. Both grow up. At age 18, the white child voted and the other did not.
          Example {in modern times when we now understand this principle}:
 Two children were born at the same time on the same day with different parents. One is black and the other is white. Both grow up to vote at age 18.

It means all people are born with rights no matter what race or gender. Later on in their life they will still have those rights, and no one can claim their rights or take them away to make them slaves. So someone can’t take someone no matter gender or race, and make them a slave. Everyone has rights no one has more rights then someone else. Everyone is equal. It is sad though that the Declaration of Independence didn’t apply on African Americans, Asians, women, and kids. The declaration only applies to whites that live in America. Not until decades did laws let women, slaves, and child labor be abolished. Of course only some people like Quakers actually believe in equality. 


I guess I agree with Hanieh, beacause she explains money does not matter to have rights.
