- The brand started to operate in 1999 in the small town of Ipoh where the founder raised. The merchant to start the business from the idea of Nescafe 3 in 1 stick packet which now growing up as grew great coffee in mass market.

- Old Town white coffee had tried to get into global market which is China, Australia, Myanmar and etc but the only reason that they need to face with international licensing. Besides that, due to the pandemic situation will affect the whole industry to survive in competitive market

- He mentioned the great opportunity for him in business world is to franchise the business instead of continuing his previous job as a banker.

- At one point he study into laundry business in terms of the investment, capital and return of profit. So from here knowing the background of business is important for us before invest our money.

- She said franchise is one of her opportunity to survive in real world due to the rapid growth of the business itself. Besides that having a duplicate business from the main business could lead a high return.

Determination and focus that will drive our business in a more successful direction and the direction as an entrepreneur is also clearer.
Dedication and interest in one's own business will lead to self-discipline, time management and many more skills needed to be applied in the business while making the franchise business successful. He also says that as a young entrepreneur, time management is very important no matter to friends, family, community and yourself. Wanting a successful franchise business cannot expect 100% of what the franchisor provides if the effort to develop and succeed the business is not in itself.

According to Dawn Liew, founder of Old Town White Coffee who now has several franchises throughout Malaysia, when they started the business there was no more mass production of Malaysian-made coffee at that time so there was not much competition in the industry. But in the early 2000s there were various western cafes that began to enter the Malaysian-sized market such as Starbucks. At the time, she felt the competition was a bit tough and one of her ways was to expand her business. The method chosen is to start franchising the Old Town White Coffee business throughout Malaysia.

A franchisor considers opening this franchise business easy because what is needed has been provided by the franchisor without having to think of other strategies and efforts to succeed and develop the business. This mindset is wrong because it has shown that a franchisee does not have a high determination to start the franchise business and they seem to just want to make a profit by hiring some employees without knowing about their business. Franchise business not only allows entrepreneurs to only make a profit but there is a lot of knowledge and skills that can be learned in the success of the franchise business. A franchisee must have high goals and identity to succeed in the franchise business.

As an entrepreneur it is also necessary for them to look for opportunities and ways on how to overcome all the weaknesses and obstacles faced by their business. Can’t expect a franchisor if the problem comes from our own franchise business. Manpower and hands on are very important in the franchise business as it will guide every entrepreneur whether they are in the right lane to succeed in their franchise business. Finances, desires and determination are 3 important things to be a successful franchise entrepreneur and should not be for a franchisee to take lightly in the process of developing and succeeding their business franchise.

So she met with Mr. Terry to discuss the agreement, and she made the right choice to sign it.

Datuk Radzali added, "The challenge in this field of business is communication between the franchisor and the franchisee." From the perspective of a franchisee, the initial challenge was locating a financial institution. Franchise entrepreneurs will always feel threatened by the performance of other franchise members when attempting to establish a service franchise. There is a disparity in skill levels between them. In other ideologies, there is no courage, and feeling oneself is severely limited. Most entrepreneurs did not have an early entry level in the beginning. Many people are already skilled at managing franchises. Manpower is another issue. They must provide training, develop SOPs, and so on. To truly succeed, they require hands-on guidance. It is now difficult to scout employees in operatives. Finance is the most significant constraint in the mobile services business. As a result, the franchisor finances the franchisee. The desire to grow is the most noticeable, especially among young people and upholsterers, whose interest in venturing into the field of entrepreneurship is extremely difficult. They are more concerned about getting rich as soon as possible.

In terms of convenience, the franchisee does not need to be concerned about finances because the franchisor will assist them. With the passage of time, the advancement of technology, and the widespread use of the internet, it has become easier to enter the entry level to do franchise. In today's fast-paced and digital age, franchising is the best way to get started as an entrepreneur.

Dawn also stated that having passion is essential as a franchisor. Because there will always be times when problems arise and they may not know how to solve them. If someone lacks passion, it will be a major setback for them because as a franchisor, they have obligations and duties to franchisees as well as their own staff to carry on the business. How are they going to persuade others to sign a franchise agreement if there is no sustainability? The franchisor cannot simply create the business and put it on the shelf. - The business is very competitive, but it is also very much needed.
- The constraint on the franchisor in terms of money is when he is interested to do franchise, franchisee and franchisor will discuss, and it takes possibly 6 months. So, financial resilience is very important, and it needs to involve the bank for both parties to believe that money resilience is stable.
- The way to enter a franchise with low risk is high return but gain the taste of the entrepreneur himself. Learn from the angles that need to be fixed with the franchisor
