Introduction of partners

In this activity students choose a natural object (animal, plant, rock etc.) they would like to be, explaining the reasons for their personal choice. Then they draw that natural object with crayons or painting application (like Paint). Teacher uploads the collection of students’ drawings on the TwinSpace and lets the students comment on others’ work (in Padlet, which is shared with all partners).

Here I grow

At the beginning of this activity students think of places outdoor where they like to spend their free time and to places they visited and liked very much. Then they make drawings of a place they particularly like and explain the reasons for their choice. The students discuss about the outdoor places where they use to spend their time. A display of students’ drawings is organized both within the school and uploaded in TwinSpace as a mind map. The mind map can be divided into spheres (home, kindergarten, gardens and parks etc.), and include students’ drawings and explanations. It is shared with all the partner schools so that everyone can participate.

Sport, nature, activities

In this activity students will record a video while running, jumping, bending, throwing, climbing, walking, crawling in the area around the school, using natural objects they have found in activities they have made up. The videos will then be published on the TwinSpace, watched by partners and then copied in their playgrounds too.

What we can do

Students think how they should behave in a responsible way when they are in nature. They discuss how they should behave towards plants, trees, and animals that fly, walk or crawl and they think of rules that should never be broken. After the students propose the rules, they draw them. An international collection of rules is finally published as an e-book in the TwinSpace.
