Spain: When I took the decision of living so far from my house for a few months, thought it would be very hard, and won’t say that I was not scared, however, I knew it was necessary and enlightening, because made me feel free, brave and more independent. From the first day, I became aware of how difficult is the migration issue and most of us is ignoring it. On the other hand, I had the opportunity of travel to very interesting places, like Barcelona, which architecture impressed me a lot; Salamanca, which university environment was contagious for me; also Gran Canaria Island, which left me a new family: Melva, Julio and Ámbar; they were very considerate and welcoming; soon afterwards, I met Diana and Franz, she is ecuadorian and he is Cuban, both were like siblings for me.

This was the last year, was unexpected and definitely worthwhile for me and my mom. We went with a cousin of mine and her husband, they were celebrating their first wedding anniversary and my mom and I went in occasion of her birthday. First of all, we toured Cusco city center, which is full of colonial buildings, museums, and markets. Then, we made others tours, but these ones were the top of my favorites: Mountain of Seven Colors or Vinicunca, there we walked on and climbed it, but at the top, and even I collapsed two times because the height (it seems like my brain was not receiving enough oxygenation), this was a powerful and amazing adventure, is fantastic all you can see up there. Likewise, we made the obligatory and enriching visit to Machu Picchu, this was our main destiny, and once I realized we were there, on my mom’s birthday, I just felt incredibly happy, peaceful and grateful of being alive, making a dream come true, and taking my mother’s hand. Finally and not less important, I have been very impressed by the Inca’s legacy and how their descendants are absolutely appropriated and proud of their idiosyncrasy.
