Tens of thousands of farm workers march and attend evening rallies to hear Chavez and organize their ranches.

-Lack of Government involvement in farm labor
-Greedy, immoral bosses at the farms
-The uprise of Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta to help and organize these farmers' working conditions.
What happened: Two short strikes occurred in the spring of 1965. Eighty-five farmworkers in a McFarland rose farm asked the NFWA (Cesar Chavez' previous organization National Farm Workers Association) to help them gain a wage increase. Assisted by Chavez and Huerta, the workers struck. After a few days the growers agreed to the wage increase but not to union recognition. The workers contented themselves with the money and returned to work.
When did all this happen?: 1951- current day the organization active
Where did all this occur?: These organized strikes, boycotts, and protests mostly occurred in California, the most recognized strike is the Delano Grape Strike that took place from Delano to Sacramento.
