This is a quote that shows Sam that AJ is kind, and understanding. The quote is important because it is true, but not a lot of people think about things in that way. This quote is one that can nicely summarize the book.

All these quotes are what create the main conflict of the story, which is when Sam finds out that Caroline was never actually with her all that time.

This quote introduces us to Caroline, who will be very important to Sam's character development, and to the plot and conflict of the story.

This part of the story introduces Sam's love of swimming, and how it makes her feel while she's doing it. This is important because swimming becomes a coping mechanism for Sam throughout the book, and the pool also becomes a place of importance because it's where she confessed her feelings to AJ. Additionally, this chapter introduces Sam's obsession with the number three.

This quote shows how Sam's mom helps her when Sam is having a combination of her OCD and anxiety. It is important because this is the first time in the story that we are introduced to Sam's condition, and how it affects her daily life.
