Starting with exploring how The Borrowers live and what they use, experimenting with physical resources to help the children for when they begin to characterise Arrietty. Within this process the children will use the drama strategies of role on the wall and a telephone conversation to help them develop a strong sense of Arrietty's character. Furthermore, the children will use the book as a source to draw on personal experiences that they can link to the character's own.
